A Box Elder Bug is a beetle-like insect known as nuisance pests in and around homes and buildings near plantings of the box elder tree (Acer negundo). A box elder bug is also attracted to maple, ash and fruit trees.
Earwigs are dark reddish-brown insects, about ½ inch to 1 inch long, with prominent claw-like pinchers located on the end of their abdomen. The pinchers are mainly used as a defense weapon against predators, but can also be utilized to capture prey.
Stink Bug is the name given to several species of insects that excrete a pungent odor from scent glands when they feel threatened. Most adult Stink Bugs are green, grey or brown and have a shield-shaped body, while one species is black with orange marks. They are small, ¼ to ¾ inches long and have piercing, sucking mouthparts.
