Summer Patch

Summer Patch is a turfgrass disease caused by the fungus Magnaporthe poae. It causes grasses to form light green patches up to 24 inches wide that later turn a reddish-brown. Some patches may have circles of green grass in the center, sometimes called "frog eyes." Summer Patch is very dangerous for Kentucky Bluegrass, Annual Bluegrass and Creeping Red Fescue lawns.
